The Panoramic House is a one of a kind landmark built in the 1960s by local Stinson Beach area school teacher, Ron Crandall and his family. The house is built entirely out of recycled building materials salvaged from the greater bay area. Windows from Victorian mansions sit next to massive timbers from shipyards and cobblestones pulled from the pre-internet era streets of San Francisco. Inspired by farmhouses and wineries from the Brittany region of France, but also designed to echo the surrounding bays, hills and the shadow of Mt. Tamalpais it sits in, the Panoramic House will stick in your minds eye long after you've left it.
